Job Title: Assistant Project Manager/Project Engineer  
Job Location: Sacramento, CA 
Salary: Competitive Salary DOE, Benefits, 401k Match
Requirements: 1-3+ Years Experience as a PE or APM for a specialty contractor preferably electrical 

Position Overview
The Assistant Project Manager/Project Engineer will support project management activities and engineering tasks for construction projects. The role focuses on ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the desired quality standards while effectively collaborating with team members and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the planning and scheduling of project activities
  • Monitor project budgets and expenditures
  • Identify and manage project risks and issues
  • Facilitate communication between team members and stakeholders
  • Collaborate with construction teams to ensure project specifications are met
  • Implement process improvements to enhance project efficiency
  • Engage with stakeholders to gather requirements and provide updates
  • Allocate resources effectively to meet project demands
  • Conduct quality control checks to ensure compliance with standards
  • Maintain thorough documentation of project progress and changes
  • Utilize Agile methodologies for project management when appropriate
  • Use Microsoft Project for scheduling and tracking project milestones
  • Support electrical construction activities and ensure compliance with design specifications
  • Create and modify project drawings using AutoCAD

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field
  • 2+ years of experience in project management or engineering roles
  • Strong knowledge of scheduling and budgeting processes
  • Experience in risk management and issue resolution
  • Knowledge of quality control practices in construction
  • Strong documentation and reporting skills
  • Experience with Agile methodologies is a plus
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Project and AutoCAD
  • Understanding of electrical construction processes is highly desirable
