Position Overview

The Controller will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the organization, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and providing strategic financial guidance to the management team. This role is critical in managing financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting processes to support the organization's growth and sustainability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the preparation of financial statements and reports in compliance with GAAP standards.
  • Manage the budgeting process, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
  • Conduct variance analysis to identify discrepancies and provide insights for improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with tax regulations and manage tax reporting processes.
  • Supervise the accounts payable and receivable functions to ensure timely collection and payment.
  • Implement and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure SOX compliance.
  • Lead the financial audit process, coordinating with external auditors and ensuring timely resolution of any findings.
  • Monitor cash flow management to optimize liquidity and funding availability.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to the finance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Utilize ERP systems and accounting software to streamline financial processes and reporting.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • CPA certification required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial management or accounting roles, preferably in a leadership position.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, tax compliance, and auditing standards.
  • Experience with financial analysis and variance analysis techniques.
  • Proficiency in budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
  • Familiarity with risk management practices and internal controls implementation.
  • Experience with ERP systems and accounting software; knowledge of Sage Intaact and Adaptive preferred.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with a proven ability to motivate and develop staff.
