Position Overview
The Tax Director will lead the tax department and oversee all aspects of tax compliance, planning, and reporting. This role is crucial for ensuring the organization's adherence to tax laws while optimizing tax strategies to minimize liabilities. The director will also be responsible for managing a team of tax professionals and collaborating with other departments to support overall business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement tax strategies to optimize the organizations tax position
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and international tax laws and regulations
• Oversee tax provision and reporting processes, including ASC 740
• Manage tax audits and develop strategies to mitigate risks
• Lead the transfer pricing policy and documentation efforts
• Conduct risk assessments and provide recommendations for improvement
• Provide guidance on international tax compliance and planning
• Prepare and review tax returns and related documentation
• Collaborate with finance and accounting teams to ensure accurate financial reporting
• Develop and maintain tax policies and procedures
• Manage and mentor the tax team, providing leadership and development opportunities

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; advanced degree (JD, LLM, MBT) preferred
• CPA certification required
• 10+ years of experience in tax, with a focus on international tax and compliance
• Strong understanding of tax law, legislation, and regulations
• Proven experience in tax planning, risk assessment, and audit management
• Excellent leadership and team management skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
• Experience with tax technologies and software (e.g., OneSource)
• Knowledge in sectors such as construction, transportation, and critical infrastructure is a plus
