Labor & Employment Attorney

Position Overview
We are seeking a Labor and Employment Attorney to add to one of our NJ office locations in Cherry Hill, Freehold, or Princeton. We pride ourselves as a lifestyle firm with billable hours in the 1600-1700 range (or more if you want it) with the top clients throughout the region! With your extensive experience in labor and employment law you will be responsible for providing legal counsel and representation to clients on a variety of employment-related matters. You will advise clients on compliance, handle disputes, and represent them in litigation and trial to protect their rights and interests. If you have 5+ years of experience in labor & employment law and trial experience, we want to talk to you!

Key Responsibilities

  • Advise clients on labor and employment law issues, including compliance with federal and state regulations.
  • Represent clients in negotiations, mediations, and litigation related to employment disputes.
  • Manage trial preparation and strategy, including drafting pleadings and motions.
  • Conduct legal research and prepare legal opinions on various labor and employment issues.
  • Handle cases involving but not limited to discrimination, harassment, wage and hour claims, and employment contracts.
  • Assist clients in developing and implementing workplace policies and practices to mitigate legal risks.

Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree
  • Active license to practice in the state of NJ- multiple licenses is a plus!
  • 5+ years of experience in labor and employment law- management/defense
  • Strong knowledge of labor law, employment law, and litigation practices.
  • Trial experience is a MUST
  • Active book of business is a big PLUS, but not required
