Senior Tax Accountant

Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Tax Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing tax compliance and planning for both corporate and individual clients, ensuring adherence to IRS regulations and GAAP standards. This role requires a strategic thinker who can develop effective tax strategies and provide valuable insights to optimize our tax positions.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and review federal and state tax returns for individuals and corporations.
Develop and implement tax planning strategies to minimize tax liabilities.
Ensure compliance with IRS regulations and relevant tax laws.
Prepare financial reports related to tax obligations and audits.
Conduct tax research and stay updated on changes in tax legislation.
Provide guidance on multistate taxation issues.
Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with accounting principles.
Assist in audits and liaise with external auditors as necessary.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Active CPA certification is preferred
Minimum of 2+ years of experience in tax accounting or a related field.
Strong knowledge of tax planning, compliance, and financial reporting.
Familiarity with IRS regulations and GAAP standards.
Experience with corporate and individual tax preparation and strategy development.
Proficient in tax software and tools related to auditing and financial reporting.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
