We have been a prominent player in heavy civil construction in the Western United States since 1981both in the office and the field, having completed 1356 projects and served 4746 clients with a workforce of 400 active employees. We have over 43 years of experience in projects such as: underground utilities, concrete/curb and gutter, earthwork, and bridge work. 

Position Overview
The Traveling Construction Superintendent oversees and manages construction projects at various locations, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires a proactive leader who can effectively communicate with team members and stakeholders while adhering to safety regulations and compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily construction activities on-site to ensure project timelines and quality standards are met.
  • Manage project schedules and coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
  • Implement and enforce safety regulations and best practices to maintain a safe work environment for all personnel.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and quality control, addressing any issues that arise promptly.
  • Manage project budgets, track expenses, and provide regular financial reports to stakeholders.
  • Lead and motivate construction teams, fostering a collaborative environment to enhance productivity and morale.
  • Negotiate contracts with subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring favorable terms and compliance with project specifications.
  • Identify potential problems and develop effective solutions to keep the project on track and within budget.
  • Communicate effectively with project stakeholders, including clients, architects, and engineers, to provide updates and resolve issues.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and local building codes throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Construction Superintendent or similar role in the construction industry.
  • Strong knowledge of project scheduling, safety regulations, and quality control measures.
  • Experience in budget management and cost control on construction projects.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a diverse team.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with various stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and critical thinking skills to address challenges on-site.
  • Familiarity with contract negotiation and management processes.
  • Effective time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of site safety protocols and workforce management techniques.
  • Experience in equipment management and understanding of regulatory compliance requirements.
