Tax Senior
Position Overview
The Tax Senior is responsible for managing and overseeing tax compliance and planning for a diverse portfolio of clients, including non-profit organizations and businesses in the construction, retail, and professional services sectors. This role involves providing expert tax advice, ensuring compliance with federal and state tax regulations, and mentoring junior tax staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and review complex tax returns for individuals, corporations, and partnerships.
- Provide tax planning and consulting services to clients in various industries, including non-profit and construction.
- Conduct research on tax issues and provide guidance on tax law changes and implications.
- Assist in managing client relationships and maintaining high levels of client satisfaction.
- Mentor and train junior tax associates in tax compliance and best practices.
- Assist with IRS and state tax audits, providing necessary documentation and responses.
Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
- Active CPA license preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in tax preparation and planning, preferably in a public accounting environment.
- Strong knowledge of federal and state tax laws and regulations.
- Experience working with non-profit organizations and industries such as construction, retail, and professional services.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
